Green Crystal Necklace

Necklace of cylindrical beads made with recycled glass mainly from bottles. The recovered glass is pounded with a metal mortar and ground to obtain a very fine powder that is pulverized and poured into a clay mold. The mold is placed in an oven and heated until the glass particles are semi-molten. . To finish, the beads are polished and hand-painted using ceramic dye, forming unique and unrepeatable pieces. This technique is carried out by African artisans and each piece is more than an ornamental object, it is a tradition, a culture and a form of protection and good omen.
